The Family forest and recreation day in Hafnarfjörður will be held on Saturday July 17 by Hvaleyrarvatn and surroundings. As usual the Hafnarfjörður Forestry Association takes part in it.

The Hafnarfjörður Forestry Association/Þöll on the Kaldárselsvegur road
14.00: Discourse in Bænalundur (Prayer Grove) by Höfði. The reverend Guðbjörg Jóhannesdóttir.
14.30: Forest hike. Guide: Jónatan Garðarsson.
14.30-16.00: “Forest puzzle” for the youngest guest.
Awards for the puzzle at 16:30.
16.00 - 17.00: Refreshments at Selið, the association’s base.
 
The Íshestar centre
15.00 - 16.00: Horse rides for the kiddies. Íshestar and Hestamannafélagið Sörli will have horses in a fence by the Íshestar centre and will lead the horses by the reins.  
 
Hvaleyrarvatn - BBQ
14.30-16.30: BBQ by the lake. Bring your favourite foods.
